Primary connections of transformer

Postby xmk » Thu Jan 09, 2014 1:08 am

Hi, I want to use the LL1679 as SE OPT and also get an UL tap.(30-35%)
To achieve this I need to connect the primary coils in a different way than the one suggested in the datasheet.
Is there a particular combination I need to follow (i.e. inner windings then outer or inner-outer-inner etc.)
I have attached my guess of how I should connect them.
Could somebody confirm or correct me
Thanks
Xeno

Btw, this is not a choke input question setup and minimum current to make it working, but rather choke only charakteristics and usable current range. At one end we have the max core tesla limitation for a particular core gap to handle DC current, at the other end we have a minimum current to enable the inductance generation
